- The Detroit Red Wings aren’t looking to add depth players as the NHL trade deadline approaches, and the players they were most interested in already have been dealt to other teams. That list includes defenseman Jay Bouwmeester and forwards Jaromir Jagr and Jarome Iginla.
- Bob McKenzie tweeted that after the Vancouver Canucks acquired Derek Roy, they let the Leafs know that the parameters on a Luongo deal have changed. They no longer require a center in a deal. The Canucks still think they need to get something tangible back for Luongo to help them into the playoffs. That may still be an issue for the Maple Leafs.
